Stop in for some power converters

Text

Finally got around to creating a goodreads account which can be found here:

Also I have posted some old/unedited writing of a story I started awhile back and sort of stopped going back to (which happens all the time). If you like the start of a story about a boy who was exiled from his homeland who has to return when his uncle dies, maybe it’s for you.

No? What if when he returns he finds out that he is the heir to a kingdom and world he didn’t know even existed?

Still no? Alright, then perhaps the addition of conjuring powers kept secret from the public that are passed down to him. Powers that he doesn’t yet know how to harness but ones he fears will change his life forever.

Still…? Sheesh, ok, Throw in his new guardian, his uncle’s long life friend, whose jealousy of not being named heir leads him to help the boy find out how to control his new powers, unbeknownst to the boy, only so he can steal them for himself.

At this point I am giving away most of what I had written anyway so I’ll just add this, which is probably what I should have written in the first place:

“A work still very much in progress and in a very raw form. A boy exiled from his home returns to find he is the heir to a world he knew not existed. Intrigue and deception run wild as he must decide who to trust and who to deceive; all while trying to harness a strange new power sought after by unknown enemies.”

Perhaps if there is enough response I will try to start writing again.

Perfect.

Dead Authors on Twitter

Twitter was founded just five years ago, meaning generations of legendary writers missed out on the chance to broadcast their witty thoughts to the world in 140 characters. What would Flannery O’Connor have sounded like if she’d had a Twitter feed? Or Charles Dickens? Or Shakespeare? The writers themselves may no longer be with us, but clever fans are impersonating them on Twitter, imagining what the scribes would have said if they’d had access to the microblogging service. Here are the best dead author Twitter accounts we could find.
